M.Moore Architects is a small firm with a history of doing interesting and sometimes complex projects. Begun in 1991 as Michael Moore & Company, we started as a design-build firm, taking advantage of founder Michael Moore's varied experience as an architect, carpenter, building contractor, and land surveyor. Since 1995 we have focused exclusively on the practice of architecture. We have built upon our extensive experience in all aspects of building design and construction to create beautiful, thoughtfully detailed, and lovingly crafted homes, retail, and commercial spaces. We believe that the most successful projects are created by teams of owners, design professionals, builders, and subcontractors working collaboratively towards a common goal of creating extraordinary places and relationships. We further believe that this success is the result of a delicate balance between leadership and collaboration. Some aspects of the design and construction process are led by the architect, some by the owner, and some by the builder; the most successful project teams are those where the division of leadership responsibilities is clear, and all parties are committed to leading their portions of the project in a collaborative manner.
